The Repair & Restoration Grant Application Process
The Fund recognizes that one important aspect of church ministry is the communal worship and fellowship of the congregation. Congregations need a place to gather. The Repair & Restoration program is designed to help congregations maintain their physical facilities.
Once every five years, eligible congregations may request a Repair & Restoration grant to repair existing buildings or to build new structures for youth, family or senior citizen programs. Churches with annual incomes of $150,000 or less are eligible for a 3:1 matching grant up to a maximum of $50,000.
Applying congregations must raise funds toward the project and provide an energy audit. The Jessie Ball duPont Fund will then match the congregation’s funds.
For projects whose total cost exceeds $75,000, the Fund also will offer up to $25,000 in interest-free loans. The congregation must provide a plan to repay the loan within five years.
Before applying, eligible organizations should establish contact with Jessie Ball duPont Fund program staff.
