Ken Shuyama

Chief Operating Officer

Ken Shuyama serves as Chief Operating Officer for the Jessie Ball duPont Fund, leading all aspects of financial operations, talent development, business systems, resource and risk management and grants management and evaluation. In this capacity, he works alongside the duPont Fund’s president and Board of Trustees to ensure that the Fund’s operations and administration meet the highest standard of excellence and effectiveness, while continuing the Fund’s commitment to approaching all of its internal and external initiatives with an equity lens.

Prior to joining the duPont Fund in 2024, Ken served as Vice President and Assistant Treasurer and Vice President of International Treasury at FIS, a global financial technology company powering mission-critical operations for leading financial institutions and businesses. In these roles, Ken led global teams, developed strategy, managed capital structure and financial risk. He managed bank relationships, liaised with regulators and was a global partner who conceptualized and implemented new projects and led deployment of innovative technologies. 

Before joining FIS, Ken held a series of positions of increasing leadership at Stanley Black & Decker, overseeing a variety of departments related to treasury, financial risk management and financial operations. He performed due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and built new treasury teams and structures following the merger of Stanley with Black & Decker to support international operations. Earlier in his tenure there, he worked as the financial business partner for the professional equipment business unit, supply chain, manufacturing and global sourcing departments.

Ken earned a bachelor of business administration summa cum laude from Universidad Icesi in Cali, Colombia and a master of business administration from The Pennsylvania State University. When he’s not at work, you can find him playing tennis and hanging out with his son.
